Intermarque Spring Kick Off - May 2010

What to say about the Intermarque? All I can say is wow. You have the variety of many vintage foreign automobiles with a great crowd of people. Let me rewind just a little though.

It started out Thursday with washing my car to prep for the show. Made sure it was all clean, because I knew Friday was going to bring rain. Once she was all clean I tucked her back in the garage safe from the rain that would have surely made my hard work for nothing.

Saturday came and my wife knew I was excited to get going; but of course we had to not be the first to show up, and took our time getting out the door. Upon arriving at the show we were greeted with the coordinator, whom I have to say I got to know later as a really friendly person who is involved with the Intermarque and helps promote the local car clubs around the area. We were shown where to park and the second I got out of the car, I took out a $4000 hi-def 3CCD professional video camera to shoot a video to help promote the Intermarque.

Intermarque Spring Kick OffThere were so many vehicles there (honestly, I should say wheels because there were some motorcycles as well) that it was hard to know exactly where to start. I met with Dan from wheelsofitaly.com and we had a good talk and am excited for that event, as it is just as exciting! Saw some other very recognizable faces; pretty much to sum it up this is a car community. There are many people in the Twin Cities and surrounding area's that come out to these events that it almost feels like your "car family".

I unfortunately had to put the camera away after only 4 minutes of shots and unable to continue due to rain; but went indoors to visit with others. Good conversations can't get car guys (and gals down), right?! We spent almost two hours avoiding the drowned rat look, only to go outside and discover there were many others that braved the lightning and rain to converse; including my brother (Brian). I guess I'm just not that dedicated...

Intermarque Spring Kick Off May 2010Besides the rain, the overall of this event was great! If you are anywhere around the Twin Cities area you may want to check out the Intermarque and automobile events that go on throughout the year.

Happy motoring and safety fast!
