Once this is determined, we can plan together the best course of action and check-in paperwork will be sent. A little about our inspections:
Rubber Rots, metal Corrodes, and chemicals Break Down. Our Experienced technicians will go over every part of your project to look for common, and sometimes uncommon, issues and concerns. After the inspection, we will discuss a starting plan. Often, the start of getting a car back to serviceability includes many of these items checked, Test, and inspect as required:
Petrol
Inspect petrol/fuel system for contamination, fuel line degradation, fuel pump serviceability, Varnish deposits, etc. Inspect and rebuild carburetor shafts, needles, diaphragms, dampening oil,
synchronize to properly tuned engine.
Suspension
Search out worn bushings, leaking shocks, broken or sagging springs, problematic anti-roll bars.
Chassis & Structural
Inspect for corrosion from time or road hazards, or past collisions. We've seen many cars with heavy corrosion and can tell you whether the vehicle has a safety concern with its current condition.
Soft Tops
Check for seal condition, hardware, leaks, and other problem areas.
Clutch
Looking for smooth clutch operation and hold during drive and corresponding mechanical & common hydraulic weak points.
Motor
Check valve clearance, oil pressure, inspect for leaks, Compression or leak down where request, amongst other tasks.
Cooling
Inspect belts, Radiator and Heater hoses, radiator, cycle thermostat, and common corrosion points.
Electrical
Faulty or insufficient wiring is fixable, repairable, replaceable and upgradeable. When testing, maintaining or update lighting, wiring most often comes into question. We offer more wiring ideas and wiring loom types of our own than anyone else.
Brakes
Seek out the weak points in the hydraulic system including rubber hoses, wheel cylinders, calipers, master cylinders, and brake boosters- remote or more standard design- behind the master cylinder. We inspect shoe linings and brake pads. Backing plates, springs, pedal return springs, and much more.
Glass & Seals
Check for clear glass, especially during direct sunlight from years of
debris and sand-blast road type wear. We'll also inspection the rubber door seals and other rubber
components, and window mechanisms.
Propshaft & Differential
Check universal & slip joints for wear or vibration during operation. Insure that the bolts are tight and that the grease nipples still allow fresh grease.
Gearbox
Shift through the gears, report condition of gears, especially those that are non-synchromesh, and overdrive where provided. Check to see how much things are leaking, and condition/level of lubrication.
Ignition
Test point & condenser, coil, base timing, "all-in" timing, replace or rebuild components as required.
Exhaust
Verify condition/leaks, sound output. Standard, Updated or Performance exhaust is available.
