This universal joint has been used many times over for the 1962-1974 Chrome bumper MGB when a smaller universal joint will sometimes be required. The GM 2.8, 3.1, and 3.4L V6 conversions sometimes need the engine moved from side to side which can cause slight interference. Always check and clearance your headers, and if the universal joint is too close, this unit can help.
Many universal joints are in less than ideal condition. To gett the best steering feedback and no wiggle from the universal joint, these shoulbe be replaced every 50 years... or so.
Note: This universal joint is shorter than the original. It works well, but the length is split between the two shafts.
